The Hampton Inn in San Jose was the first modular hotel of its kind in the city — a project that required Proset and the ownership group to challenge the city and the regional building community to accept a new and innovative approach to hospitality construction. In the end, the City of San Jose recognized the success of this project by using it as the reference for their official "How to Build Modular in San Jose" educational resource. The developer went on to begin construction on their third modular hotel in the Bay Area — a direct testament to the results Proset delivered.

At 144 keys, 5 stories, and 96,879 sq ft, this is a full-scale hospitality project in one of the most challenging construction markets in the country. The Bay Area's high construction costs, limited labor availability, and compressed development timelines make modular delivery not just an option but a strategic necessity — and Proset brought the expertise to execute it. Reduced costs, shorter construction durations, and mitigated risk of cost and schedule escalation were all achieved without sacrificing the quality standard Hampton by Hilton demands.

Designed by Burkett Architecture, the Hampton Inn San Jose stands as one of the most recognized demonstrations of modular hospitality construction in California — and a project Proset points to as a benchmark for what this delivery method can achieve in high-barrier markets.
