Fat Aspen Ranch is a 3,493 sq ft custom residence in Placerville, Colorado — a project that called for something different from Proset's mountain village work. Set against the wide-open landscape of Colorado's western slope, the design demanded a build that felt rooted in its surroundings while achieving a level of refinement typically reserved for higher-density luxury markets.

The project was designed by Lake Flato Architects, a nationally recognized firm known for their contextual, landscape-driven design philosophy. Executing their vision required Proset to bring the same exacting construction standards to a rural site — managing logistics, materials, and craft in an environment where the distance from urban supply chains makes quality control even more demanding.
