About the Role
The Controller holds the primary responsibility for the successful implementation and
management of accounting information systems applications that are designed to mitigate risks and
enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.
The Controller will manage, coach, and direct daily accounting activities; ensure that proper
accounting and recording of company transactions are performed in an accurate and timely
manner; and produce financial and other key reports for management.
Provide training, guidance, and direction to employees to ensure work is performed in an efficient,
timely, and knowledgeable manner.
Setup controls and budgets to analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and
monitor the financial integrity of the general ledger.
Responsible for the creation of specialize financial reports and projects unique to management
needs.
Work directly with project managers to establish, manage, monitor, and forecast project budgets,
estimated cost at completion, and project-level cash flow.
Responsible for management and oversight of:
- Balance Sheet, Income Statement accounts
- Monthly AIA billings and associated activities
- Various integrations to ensure integrity.
- Accounts Payable
- Reconciliations
- Cash Flow and Credit Card accounts.
- Insurance programs and policies
- Payroll activities
- Project close-outs for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare month-end closing and year-end closing of the financial accounting records.
- Work directly with CFO on revenue forecasting, budget forecasting, and G&A reduction plans.
- Work closely with financial institutions concerning banking activity changes, enhancements and
charges, and represent the company in meetings with external parties.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
4 Year Degree in Accounting and/or Business with advanced degree or CPA preferred.
Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) Preferred.
Must have a full understanding of construction related Job Cost Accounting and Auditing requirements.
Must have thorough working knowledge of all relevant federal, state, and local requirements regarding financial records and reporting.
Must have the ability to meet hard month, quarter, and year end deadlines.
Must have four or more years of proven supervisory experience and eight years or more of
related experience with a strong knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial
management.
Must have outstanding computer skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Suite including Word and Excel, and be able to lead, manage, and oversee accounting
department IT functions.
Must be proficient in communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
