About the Role
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ability to review construction design plans and identify scope of work items with cost
implications.
- Ability to lead the estimating process from inception to turnover to include takeoffs, RFI's, client
interaction, and gaps in scope of work.
- Prepare and maintain RFI logs in Procore.
- Assists Senior Project Estimator.
- Assists with the creation of preliminary preconstruction schedules.
- Attends pre-construction meetings and progress meetings as designated.
- Ensure requirements of contracts and scopes of work are met.
- Communication with subcontractors regarding preconstruction and reviewed project scopes of
work prior to final bid.
- Solicits, review, and compile subcontractor estimates per Proset Construction SOPs.
- Evaluate scope of work.
- Helps with maintaining owner, subcontractor, and client relationships.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Estimating standards & procedures.
- Estimate set-up and organization
- Subcontractor bid pricing review and comprehension.
- Ability to write, review and edit cost narratives.
- Ability to review accurate take-offs and estimate from conceptual and schematic drawings
- Ability to review, understand, and accurately price construction specifications and complete
scope of work.
- Excellent research skills are necessary.
- Ability to manage time, organize and utilize all available resources to meet strict deadlines and
achieve expected goals.
- Must be detailed oriented, self-starter and have ability to function in high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in MS Suite especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Knowledge of project management software (Procore a plus)
- Knowledge of Blue Beam is preferred.
- Knowledge of estimating software (SAGE Estimating a plus)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to assist in moving, lifting, carrying, storing or transporting materials and
equipment (must be able to lift 50 lbs or more).
- Must be able to assist all areas of the project/job site in all types of weather; which may include
stooping, bending, climbing, pushing, crawling or stretching.
- Must be flexible with travel requirements (determined per position and location of project)
- Must be available to address delays, emergencies, bad weather and other relatable issues at
the job site when Project Manager and/or Superintendent are not available.

Requirements
4-Year Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management
2-5 Years Commercial Construction Pre-Construction experience with the ability to execute
multiple projects simultaneously
Experience, working knowledge, and thorough comprehension with Construction Design and
Plans
Experience and working knowledge with scheduling software. (CPM)
OSHA 10/30 Certification is a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and business management skills are required.
